CREATIVE SEWING

Classes for all ages and levels.
For whatever your sewing projects might be – clothes, accessories, a UNIQUE back to school item, Halloween costume, special event or gift–Jill Pillot, sewing teacher for 10 years and owner/designer of Ricochet one-of-kind Wearable Art for women and children will be your sewing guide.
Recycle:  Don’t discard any of your family's non wearable clothes……
                                                                                                 REDESIGN   THEM!

Reinvent those worn denim jeans, shirts, old fashioned dresses,   sweaters with holes, table cloths, blankets, you name it…..or even fabrics that   are lying around waiting to be used, and transform them into your own  creations.

You will learn  basic sewing techniques, write/draw your ideas on paper, and  learn how to take  measurements.Cutting, pinning, and basic sewing skills will  be presented in a  manner that is simple and easy to understand. At the  completion of the course,  you will be familiar enough with reconstruction  techniques to redesign and  recreate your old clothes, and become an independent  seamstress, and the ins and  outs of your sewing machine. A sewing machine is  required. So go ahead and pull  that baby out of the closet, and put it to good  use.
The results are attractive, eye-catching, one-of-a-kind, and bound to evoke compliments.
This Wearable Art Academy studio with the Environment in mind makes for a cheerful mix of sewing lounge camaraderie and creative studio. These classes are intended to be fun and informative, where you can learn and express yourself through your individual creativity, helping to make your dream of fashion design a reality. Our workshops offer a creative haven for anyone who loves sewing and wishes to reinvent his/her wardrobe...

You will explore step-by-step methods of taking apart garments and recreating them as unique pieces of wearable art. Jill will present strategies for recycling fabric from existing clothing to creating patterns for new designs.

R.M from San Carlos : " I am coming to the end of a magical sewing class series with a group of very  inspiring Moms at Ricochet under Jill's tutelage. This class has been an event I  look forward to all week. I have signed my 7- year old daughter up for a series  of classes with Jill as well.
Jill is quite an inspiration! Being  surrounded by her work is uplifting. It just feels great to support a local  artist such as Jill and I have been greatly appreciating the opportunity to  learn from her and wear a few of her quality and unique pieces."
